‘I Got Built’ is a specialist pre-apprenticeship program based in South Australia which helps young Indigenous Australians find employment in the construction industry.
The pre-apprenticeship program will provide industry relevant, on-the-job training for Indigenous youth. It is designed specifically to create employment solutions for young Indigenous Australians that will increase their employment opportunities and benefit the construction industry.
17 Indigenous job seekers will participate in the ‘earn and learn’ initiative, undertaking a Certificate II in Construction (CPC20113), with full support from a range of partners.
70% of participants are expected to be signed to a full-time apprenticeship once they’ve completed the course.
