MEGT is an Australian not-for-profit business established in 1982 and supports employers, apprentices, trainees, job seekers, and students.
Founded as a registered Group Training Organisation (GTO) based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, MEGT now has over 650 staff from approximately 60 offices in every state.
MEGT is proud to have worked with more than 450,000 Australian businesses while helping over 1.5 million Australians into work. This includes over 700,000 apprenticeship completions and over 7,000 people with disability.
While MEGT continues to operate as a GTO via our Recruitment and Management Services (RMS) team, we are also Australia’s largest single Apprentice Connect Provider delivering Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) on behalf of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).
In addition, our Employment Services team provides state-based employment and training programs. We also help disadvantaged job seekers by delivering Workforce Australia (WFA) and Transition to Work (TtW) programs in western Melbourne and the Gold Coast respectively.
In 2021, our business founded the MEGT Foundation which provides scholarships of up to $15,000 annually to help disadvantaged women return to study.
