Our friendly Employment Consultants work with you one-on-one and confidentially. They focus on understanding your goals, your circumstances, and your interests to ensure the support you receive is right for you.

Creating a tailored job plan
When you first meet your Employment Consultant, they will talk to you about your personal goals, your employment goals, your skills and experience, your interests, and your personal circumstances. They will work with you to develop a tailored plan. We use what jobs you are interested in, what skills you already have and help you with the new skills you’d like to gain to find you suitable work.

Getting you job ready
Your Employment Consultant is here to help you put your best foot forward. Your plan may involve building your skills through short courses or licences, continuing your education or linking you with the right help if you are facing issues such as housing, transport or finances.

Helping you secure that job
When you are ready, we connect you to the right job using our connections to local employers. We work with you on your job applications, resumes, and interview practice so you are feeling confident and are well prepared. We also help you navigate your employment contracts and any other start of employment administration.

Comprehensive in-work support
We don’t just help you find the right job, we help you stay and develop in your new job. Starting a new job can be stressful and MEGT can help guide you through this time and the changes to your life. This can include managing your income reporting to Services Australia, managing your finances and achieving new goals. We check in with you regularly to see how you are going and if you need more hours of work, or if the job is not working out, we can help you move or change jobs. If you need further training or licences, we may be able to help out with that too!

Connecting you to specialist support providers
We understand there can be issues or challenges in life, which is where our specialist support providers may help. They can assist with a range of accommodation, transport, clothing, legal, reading, writing, English-language development, health, relationships and parenting requirements.
