Work Smart Drive Smart is a free pilot workplace road safety program for new or first-year apprentices within the construction trade, who need to drive for work and are on their P plates.
The program, launching in February 2024, is delivered by trained road safety facilitators and experienced trainers, and conducted on Victorian trade sites.
In each six-hour session, apprentices learn hands-on, practical strategies for dealing with risky driving situations, including towing, safely loading and unloading, and safe stopping distances.
