About the Role:

We are seeking a maintenance apprentice to join our dynamic maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills while studying for an engineering certificate via TAFE. As part of the team, you'll assist with preventative maintenance, help minimize breakdowns, and support commissioning and engineering projects.

Primary Duties:

  • Follow Howmet Fastening Systems' Occupational Health, Safety & Environment requirements, including proper use of PPE.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.

  • Support machine system and cell design projects, including factory layout, ergonomics, standardised times, tooling, design, programming, and commissioning.

  • Perform safe and timely equipment repairs, with a flexible approach to working hours when needed.

  • Provide timely reports on project progress and work status.

  • Undertake additional duties aligned with business needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong numerical and literacy skills

  • Interest in materials and mechanics of materials

  • Willingness to learn and develop engineering expertise

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
