Apprenticeships Queensland is excited to offer an opportunity for a Carpentry Apprentice to join one of our esteemed host employers.

As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will:

  • Perform tasks related to building, construction, and joinery under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson.
  • Use carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Conduct general demolition of minor building structures.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings for carpentry work.
  • Apply Workplace Health & Safety requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industry.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must have a car and a valid minimum p1 driver's license.
  • A genuine interest in the carpentry trade.
  • A safe and confident approach to work.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Possession of a White Card (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
  • Minimum completion of Year 10 schooling.
